BCCL's Dhariwal to be replaced by Bharti Retail's Raj Jain

In a latest industry movement, Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd (BCCL) CEO Ravi Dhariwal will be replaced by Raj Jain who is currently the CEO at Bharti Retail Ltd. 

Highly placed sources in the industry have confirmed the news to Adgully, while both the parties refrained for commenting on the movement.

While Dhariwal’s next move is unknown yet, Jain is speculated to join BCCL by Decmeber 2014- January 2015.

Dhariwal has served as CEO since 2006 and has worked at the publisher and served on its board since 2001.

Jain is currently CEO at Bharti Retail, a role he took up in January this year. In June last year, he quit as MD and CEO of Bharti-Walmart, the American retailer’s ill-fated joint venture with India’s Bharti group. Prior to this, Jain has also worked for Hindustan Unilever Ltd, which he joined as a management trainee in 1980. He spent 10 years at Whirlpool Corp. Jain joined Wal-Mart in China in 2006.
