TV This Week| Star Plus, SAB TV & Colors grow this week

TAM ratings for week 37 as a few GEC’s garnered good viewership, while the other saw the low side of the ratings ladder. In the Hindi GEC channels Star Plus, SAB TV and Colors were the gaining channels this week as compared to last week’s ratings. In the Hindi movies space, Movies OK, UTV Movies and Sony MAX 2 were the Hindi movie channels to grow amongst the other movie channels in terms of viewership.

As per this week’s TAM, Star Plus is at No.1, Zee TV at No.2; Colors continues to be at No.3, followed by Life OK at No.4, SAB TV at No.5 and SET at No.6 position.

As per viewership data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 37, 2014 (31st Aug - 6th Sept.) for CS 4+ HSM Markets detailed below is the data of the top 6 GEC’s performance in week 37 along with previous week’s figures enlisted in the brackets:

Marking growth in viewership, seated at the top position, Star Plus recorded 594923 million GVTs (gross TV viewership in million) as against 591045 million GVTs recorded last week.

Zee TV at No. 2 showed decline in viewership even this week and received 431746 million GVTs as against 451717 last week.

Colors, at No. 3 showed increase in viewership with 416675 million GVTs as compared to 399182 last week.

Registering decline in viewership, Life OK at No. 4 recorded 313012 GVTs as against 326081 in the last week.

SAB TV at No. 5 showed growth of 292474 million GVTs against 287945 million GVTs last week.

SET at No. 6 showed decline even this week with 262507 million GVT’s against 286594 last week.

Following is the market-wise program performance of Hindi Movie channels in Week 37 2014:
This week Sony MAX is at No. 1 position with  no growth in GVT's  202265 as against 208012 GVT's last week followed by Z Cinema at No. 2 which showed decline in viewership of 192556 GVT’s against recorded 206633 GVT's last week. Star Gold at No.3 too recorded decline this week with 181265 GVT's as compared to 223356 GVT's last week. Movies OK at No.4 showed growth this week, channel received 152285 GVT's compared to 146300 GVT's last week. & Pictures  at No.5 showed decline of 81914 as compared to 84133 GVT's last week followed by UTV Movies which showed increase in viewership of 78106 GVT's as compare to 71610 GVT's last week. Sony Max2 too showed growth this week in compare to last weeks as received 48314 GVT's as compared to 44135 GVT's.
