Asian Federation of Advertising Associations (AFAA) presents its 27th edition of AdAsia 2011 which will be held in Delhi from October 31 to November 03, 2011. As a build up to the Grand Event, the Organising Committee of AdAsia 2011 has announced 3 exciting contests on Social Media around the Theme – Uncertainty the New Certainty. AdAsia, Asia’s biggest Marketing, Media and Advertising Congress is a biennial event catering to the best in Management, Marketing, Advertising, Media and Communications Industry. The much awaited Congress will be held in India after a gap of eight years.
The theme of AdAsia 2011 is “Uncertainty: The New Certainty.” We live in a dynamic world that is currently at an inflection point witnessing a realignment of global economic leadership. Post the global meltdown, Asia leads the world on the path of recovery, thus attracting attention the world over. There is a new paradigm as far as Asia is concerned, and the one thing that is certain is uncertainty. Brands are on an experimental spree through multi-layered communication channels right from Twitter, Facebook to mobiles and micro-blogging as the new evolving mediums. Mastering this ever-evolving operating environment and its impact on business is gaining critical significance to long-term sustainability. AdAsia 2011 will not only chronicle the changes but also provide a glimpse of impending opportunities and challenges that lie ahead in this dynamic field of advertising and marketing.

Similarly on Facebook, AdAsia 2011 is running a contest targeted at the B schools, where students need to upload a 10 slide presentation on their take of the theme. Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/AdAsia2011.
The third contest is targeted at the young talent from advertising agencies. Teams comprising 3-4 members, between the age group of 22 – 29 years have to create a 2 minute video around the conference theme. The videos will be judged by a Committee chaired by the Organizing Committee of AdAsia 2011. The best video or film will be featured at the Gala evening at AdAsia 2011.
Commenting on the contests on Social Media, Madhukar Kamath, Group Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director, Mudra Group and Chairman, AdAsia 2011, said, “We are pleased to announce these contests revolving around the AdAsia 2011 theme – Uncertainty the New Certainty. So far, AFAA has confirmed a total of 38 renowned and distinguished speakers at AdAsia 2011. Confirmation is awaited from a few more speakers/panelists that will take the total tally to around 50. The much awaited Congress will be held in India after a gap of eight years. The last Congress hosted by India was in 2003 in the pink city of Jaipur.
