Presidency Univ ropes in Rediffusion Y&R for its ‘200 years’ celebrations

Presidency University has empanelled Rediffusion Y&R for handling its creative mandate for the celebration of its 200 years. The account win is a result of a multi-agency pitch in Kolkata. While the names of the agencies in the fray are not known, the final round included presentations from several renowned agencies of Kolkata and Mumbai. The agencies were asked to make a strategy-cum-creative presentation on how the agency can take the legacy and heritage of the institution forward as they approach towards the completion of 200 years.

Presidency University is one of the most prestigious and heritage institutions of India. Its alumni include Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore, Swami Vivekananda, Subhas Chandra Bose, Satyajit Ray and India’s first President, Rajendra Prasad.

The bicentennial celebration of the University will be a national as well as an international event, with seminars in India, Britain and in the US. There will be academic workshops, debates, international seminars, lectures by distinguished academicians, Nobel laureates and Oscar winners, as well as cultural events, among others. The events will start from the first week of January 2017.
