Pushkaraj Shenai quits as the CEO at Lakme Lever

Pushkaraj Shenai has resigned from his position as the Chief Executive Officer at Lakme Lever, a prominent cosmetic brand. In a LinkedIn post, he reflected on his departure by drawing inspiration from the lyrics of "Hotel California," specifically Henley and Frey’s lines, which convey the allure of the iconic hotel. Shenai expressed that these lyrics resonate with his experience during the eleven-year journey with the Lakme Lever family.

In his post, Shenai acknowledged the profound impact of his time with Lakme Lever, encompassing friendships, memories, the hustle, disappointments, and victories over the past decade. He emphasized the steep learning curve, particularly for someone with little prior knowledge of the beauty business and leading large teams. Despite these challenges, the team achieved significant milestones, serving over a million clients with a remarkable 90%+ Net Promoter Score (NPS) across nearly 500 Lakme Salons. Additionally, the team successfully positioned Dermalogica as the leading professional prestige skincare brand in India. Shenai proudly noted the team's outstanding performance, as reflected in a strong Profit and Loss statement and the attainment of prestigious awards, such as Best Salon Chain and Best Franchisor for multiple consecutive years.

Expressing gratitude, Shenai extended thanks to his team members and acknowledged the support of Sanjiv Mehta, the CEO and MD of HUL (Hindustan Unilever Limited), the parent company of Lakme Lever. Prior to his role at Lakme Lever, Shenai served as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Piramal Realty and held the position of Head of Marketing at Globus.
